If you have heard or not a shootout at Virginia tech college dorm happened. A man shot and killed 30 people. He then turned the gun on himself. I want this thread to be dedicated to the family's of the killed students. This is also the worst U.S. shootout ever. I would just like a moment of silence and thread dedicated to their family and may god hold them dear and never let go.

Wow, Gai. I'm impressed. And just a bit touched.
I agree. We should have everyone we can get on here at four or seven or something a week from today and just have a minute of everyone on at the same time to honor them. Like that moment of silence thing they have after 911.
For everyone who knows one of the people killed at Virginia Tech, I offer my deepest condolences, and offer my help if you need anyone to talk to or such. *bows*

Yeah I heard about it too, at school none the less, it was during my spanish class and it was 5 min till lunch so some kid turned on the news and there it was. It's such a shame that the world has come to this. I think the world just needs a little (or a lot) of luvin.
I can't really say very much (not an emotional speaker) but I know that it is saddening for me to hear this, even though no one I know goes to Virigina Tech, but my Aunt and Uncle and 2 cousins live there. Prayers be with the families and with the college itself.

I had two friends who I knew over another site and they went there. I'm not sure if they're okay or not, but I know what it's like to lose family. While I can't exactly pray for them, my condolences to the families who lost loved ones and hope that good fortune follows them. Whatever lies beyond death, I hope the worthless piece of shit who did this gets the worse of it. People who are so fucked up that they have to go and shoot dozens of other innocent people don't deserve one moment of peace in their worthless lives.
*Shakes head* I'm sorry, but it had to be said. I feel no sympathy for people who commit such horrible wrong-doings, nor should anyone. I only wish he would have lived so that he could have felt all of the pain he put on others. Killing himself after comitting a crime was a cowardly way to escape justice and the pain that he knew would follow.

I heard about this during my World Geography(new shcool, 5th grade class at my old shcool -_-; ) and my idiotic teacher was making fun of it. While evyerone was crying. We had a momen of prayer at shcool, everybody, none-believers, or no. We all prayed. What happened today has made me hurt alot more than anythign else has really. It pains me to have another terroristic thing happen.
It's really scary. When those boys turned the news on their phones, I had to hover to hear until the teacher turned the t.v. on. my heart is broken yet again by horrid peoples. -prays-
Also. I think I'd kill m'self too for doing something so horrid to innocent people.

Man it's crazy how the massacre happened 15 minutes from my school. Kinda surprising and frightening at the same time. I still don't believe this all started because the girl he liked didn't want to go out with him..

It's not far from my school either.
I would kill myself or turn myself in of horror of what I had done, but he just did it so he couldn't be punished for what he'd done. He knew what horrors he would be commiting, how much pain he would cause, and he didn't care. He was mentally ill, he stalked girls, wrote gruesome stories, and was sent to counciling multiple times. They treated him for depression. If he was a danger to himself and others, why let him into VT?!
My Principle is serious about the things. His specific words were 'Any child who is heard making light of what happened MUST be sent to an administrator and will be put on suspension for as long as possible.' And I think that's perfect. How could anyone make jokes about other people's pain, or death?
We have a moment of Silence every morning at school, but this week all of them have been dedicated to those at VT. It just makes me so sad, as well as furious, that this happened.

Yeah, there was a whole section about the guy in today's paper. Completely coo-coo, that one.
There's another thing really disgusting about the whole thing. A news crew took the footage of the school, where you could hear the gun shots going off, and added a COUNTER to the thing, like it was some sort of video game.
But, considering that they made a video game out of that one other school (Comubine, or something similar), I wouldn't be surprised.
It makes you stop and wonder, 'What they hell is wrong with the world?'

Columbine, I think it was called. I remember it well. And it is disgusting. News stations are turning this into some race to gain more viewers and popularity. People died, and this is the respect they get? Unbelievable. Horrid.
To be honest, the guy probably tried to do a remake of Columbine. They both seemed similar- The guys in Columbine: killing as many as they could, and then killing themselves. Sound familiar?

Well, a kid in my Speech class mentioned that the Columbine kids really went down in history. They are still well known today, even though the even occured eight years ago. It makes this whole suicide/massacre thing look glorified to those who want to die anyways.
Utterly disgusting.
