Name: Nara Shikamano (In Japan the surname comes before the name)

Appearance: Shikamano is tall and skinny, his hair is black and worn tied up mostly. He ties it up in the presence of an important person or at special occasions. Shikamano wears a short jacket with the Nara emblem on the back. Underneath is a blank dark gray shirt, he also wears leggings that reach to his calves. His shoes are normal stlye ninja sandals. He wears a silver stud earing in his left ear, and a necklace with the point of an antler at the end of it.
History: Shikamano was born into the Nara clan, which has become a respectable clan of late. His parents were always there for him, supporting him trhough his early childhood. Shikamano and his father always lived in great fear of Shikamano's mother becuase of her very bad temper that could be raised in a moment. The two boys spent time outside away from her and they were spared from her anger. During this time Shikamano and his father spent time exploring the woods and learning all they could from the flora and fauna. Shikamano's father was the leader of the whole clan and the keeper of all the clan jutsus. This helped Shikamano becuase his training was accelerated. He mastered jutsu's almost overnight and the rest of the time was spent playing shogi (which he has a record of 1000 wins and 1000 losses against his father, with everyone else he is unbeaten)or hunting deer. Because of the surging of deer in the forest the Nara clan kept herds of deer instead of hunting individual ones which increased the supply of deer medecine. Althought the testing of each Nara child was still the same, catching a deer and removing its antlers without mortally harming the deer. Shikamano took on this trial years before many other children and it took him two days of hunting to complete. He cornered a deer in one day and captured it. He removed the antlers and spent the next day exploring the forest with this deer. He came came to his parents with the deer and a large pair of antlers. This was converted into medecine and Shikamano kept the point of one of the antlers, he carries it around on a necklace. After the test and converting the antlers into medecine Shikamano had his ear pierced at a special ceremony which marks him as a man in his clan. Shikamano was sent off to the academy soon after to continue his growth.
Personality: Shikamano is the sort of unenthusiastic person who would rather take a nap than get excited over something and likes the thinking games that older men are usually into, such as Shogi. He is very lazy but when duty calls, Shikamano has a strong moral compass and sense of commitment to his comrades. Even though by his own testimony he lacks bravery, he will sacrifice himself and face almost certain death for the sake of his friends without a second thought.

Kagemane no Jutsu (The Art of Me-and-My-Shadow) NinJutsu
Type: C Rank, Hiden, Supplementary, Short to mid-range (0-10m)
The user's shadow is extended to the opponent's shadow, combining them. This puts the attacker in control of the target's movements- the target is forced to make any movement the user makes. It is an extremely versatile technique. Given enough talent, the shadow can contract and change shape, and even get ahold of several targets at once. The shadow can also be connected with the shadows of other objects to extend its range. Shikamaru can only hold the jutsu for about 5 minutes. Kagemane no Jutsu used to be called Kage Shibari no Jutsu. The name also suggests that in the past, the technique could only hold targets in place and not force them to copy the user's movements.
Kage Kubi Shibari no Jutsu (Shadow Neck Bind Technique) NinJutsu
Type: Hiden, B Rank, Offensive, Short to mid-range (0-10m)
An advancement of capturing the opponent with Kagemane no Jutsu (The Art of Me-and-My-Shadow). Once the target has been captured, the user concentrates to further the attack. The user then uses their shadow to form a hand, which will creep along the target to their neck and proceed to strangle them. However, those with sufficient chakra are able to push back the shadow hand and resist the effects.
Kage Nui (Shadow Sewing) NinJutsu
Type: D Rank, Hiden, Offensive, Short to mid-range (0-10m)
The user of this jutsu can extend his shadow and create multiple tendrils to attack various targets.
Kori Shinchu no Jutsu (Sly Mind Affect Technique)
Type: C-rank, supplementary, mid- to long-range (5+m)
Users: Oboro, Kagari, Mubi
Kori Shinchu no Jutsu is a Genjutsu which causes the target to travel around in circles. If the ninja is unable to detect the illusion very quickly, they can become exhausted mentally and physically because they are unable to reach their desired target by traveling along the same path over and over.
Dainamikku-Entori (Dynamic Entry)
Type: D-rank, Offensive, Short range (0-5m)
Users: Maito Gai
Nothing more than a flying jump kick straight to the face. Used as an opening attack.
Weapons/Items: 10 Kunai, 4 Smoke Bombs, 5 Flash Bombs, 6 Shuriken, 4 Exploding Tags. Also he has some medecine made from the antlers of a deer.
