Name: Homura, Furan
Age: 33
Rank: Jounin
Village: Kusagakure
Appearance: Meh… Picture…
History: Furan Homura was born on the out-skirts of Kusagakure in mid-summer, and lived the first years of her life under her parents care, and with an older brother. The parents had little money, of course, but were content with life on the outside of the Village, away from people. But, Furan’s father was killed while hunting when she was still an infant. The mother, unable to handle the tragedy or contain her grief, moved into the main-lands. They hardly had any money, and could barely afford a house. Food was in very low supply, and Furan’s mother could hardly feed her family. But she didn’t seem to care. Grief was all that she felt.
As Furan grew older, she and her brother learned to take care of themselves eventually, to the point where they weren’t on the brink of starvation. Often Furan would have to steal food from a market just to get by. She hated life that way, but Furan always put on a sarcastic smile, and laughed it off. She hid her feelings with her sense of humor, and it seemed she was always cracking jokes, even when hungry, cold, and tired.
Furan had always been naturally sly and cunning, and enjoyed playing pranks, and tricking others. She could earn a little bit of money easily while gambling and messed with people’s minds often. But she became enraged at her life-style, and hated how the high held pigs the people called nobles looked at her. It was disgusting. The girl didn’t consider her a thief, or a beggar, so why did she have to act like one? When telling her mother how she felt, her mother only shook her head, saying that they couldn’t change how they were. Furan was horrified and infuriated at her mother’s opinion, but hid it well. Afterwards, her brother told her he agreed with her, and that he believed their mother to be too overwhelmed by grief over their Father’s death. She agreed. A week later, she came to her brother with exciting news.
The Village had begun recruiting Ninja, trying to expand their military forces, and they immediately stepped forward. People referred to them as a joke, lowly peasants. She grinned at most, and laughed them off. However, when she entered the academy, and actually began learning the things about ninja and their ways, she did show a considerable amount of skill. She had never before training in her life, but some things that the beginners were required to learn came easily to her. Stealth, acquiring information without being detected and such had always been part of her life.
When she finally became a Genin, she was placed on a three man squad under the lead of a Hyuga by the name of Asahi (Who Furan actually got the Scarf tradition from), and with Hayabusa Eimin and Uchiha Kaishi as her team-mates. Hayabusa was almost always silent, hardly ever speaking, and an amazing katana wielder. Kaishi was more focused on her looks than her training, not a hair out of place, and had an enormous crush on Hayabusa. Most people thought the other two to be the better of the team, but Furan proved herself. The girl actually went to Hayabusa and asked him to teach her how to wield a katana.
(With her Clan’s Affinity for Fire) She became skilled in Fire Jutsus, and in the Chuunin exams, her team passed the first time around, save for Kaishi, who failed the Third Exam.
Furan and Hayabusa grew to be great friends, and worked well together, and when both became Jounin, formed an excellent Team. But Kaishi was still lagging behind, and had only just become a Chuunin when they had both been Jounin for some time. Kaishi became enraged, and accused Furan of trying to ‘steal’ Hayabusa, and attacked Furan. She easily defeated her, and tried to work out a peace with her team-mate. But before she ever had a chance to, Kaishi was murdered by Itachi. Furan felt horrible that she had not been able to work things out with her team-mate, but tried to laugh it off. Sometimes though, some things cannot be pushed away by humor.
Hayabusa tried to comfort her as much as he possibly could, but he wasn’t very good with those sorts of things. Eventually, Furan was able to push it away, and continued on with her life. Still, sometimes it seems as if she will never let go of her friend’s death.
Furan has been a Jounin for a number of years, and only hopes to continue on that way for her life. She believes that she is satisfied, now finding some sort of purpose in life.
Personality: Furan is often described as sarcastic, sly, cunning, and even sadistic. She enjoys tricking people, and messing with minds. She laughs things off, and hides her emotions under her humor.
She’s really quite odd.
