The core of a massive active volcano somewhere on an uncharted island. The inside reaches tempeture to the point that it's unbarable. The walls have various outcrops of rock that create platforms making a nice climbing route to get to the top in case of an eruption. At the very bottem of the arena lies a pool of lava waiting to spew out. Don't fall in... ;D

((o.k time for the battle with Hokori))
The blood red eyes of the red headed sand genin scanned the island as she approached. the waves from the ocean smacked the boat making a steady beat. in the distance Krimson could see the outline of the volcano. she was summoned here to fight a rival, if that's how you want to put it. it has always been a dislike between them and it all started in the academy training grounds, with a drawing and a general dislike of the person in the portrait. ever since then they have squabbled over the fact but now was different know they were able to actually fight. a sudden bump grabbed her attention. she had struck land. Krimson picked up her stuff and tied the boat down. whether she won or not she still needed a way of the god forsaken island. she took the Scythe down from her back and rested it on her shoulder. "hm? I have to fight inside the thing...great" Krimson said with a sigh. she made her way up the active spout of soot. when she go to the top she gazed down in the gaping hole into the fiery pits of liquefied fire. she looked to the side to see steps going into it. she swallowed the lump in her throat as she hopped from ledge to ledge. the heat increased every time she got farther down into the core of the volcano

(Heh. Here we go. Fighting IN a volcano. Brillant.)
Hokori sat staring over the lake of molten stone below her, a sandbag insuling her crossed legs from the worst of the heat. Her dark clothes were stained with sweat, kunai, shuriken, and summoning scrolls hidden about her person should she need more. It was an unfortunate battlefield, but one the Sand Genin could cope with. At least, this ledge was fairly broad and stable... One hand went to check her bun before the clatter of rocks drew her gaze upward.
Ah. There was the Gaara-lover herself. Hokori rose to her feet, bowing politely to her fellow Kunochi. "Ready to get this over with, monster-lover?" A cynical smirk danced across her lips, eyes flashing with anger under her self-control.

Krimson looked down at the girl sitting on a sand bag as she made her way down the stone steps. Krimson smiled and bowed back to the other Kunochi. "Oh you know me all too well Hokori...all too well" Krimson said with a smirk, matching the one on the Gaara-haters face. the one thing that bugged Krimson was herself. she could never supply the first hit, she did not know why she could not though. she picked the scythe off her shoulder and held it in both her hands. a black flame sparked once before engulfing the scythes two blades. "come on let's do this" Krimson said taking her stance

Hokori's smirk died, one hand claiming a scroll even as she whispered her sister's name, "Anei." The anger rose, filling her gaze as she snapped the scroll upward in an arch that would send it plumeting for Krimson's head.
A few hand gestures transformed the scroll into a 4 by 8 bag of sand, the massive object plumeting for the tall red-head. The Sand Genin herself drew a kunai in antispation.

Krimson looked up at the scroll. 'is that all she gonna do? boink me on the head with that?' she thought until it turned into a sand bag. Krimson turned the blade of the scythe toward the bag and held it in place. soon the bag hit the blade and split in half. sand went flying and fell into the lava below. Krimson looked at her and gave a slight laugh. she gripped the scythe and swung it at her, even though she was not within range of the blade. the blackened flame jumped from the blade and hurdled toward Hokori.

Hokori tumbled under the burst of flame, feeling the heat wash against her back enroute past her. She chuckled darkly, one hand snapping a a trio of shuriken at the other kunochi, eyes grimly satisfied with the fine spray of sand that lay around Krimson. A substancial loss to be sure, but a worthy one. Now to get her comfortable. Or angry. That would work too...
"I never did find out what you like in Gaara, heartless monster that he is." She smiled darkly, snaping a second spray of shuriken at the Kunochi.

((I'm so happy today! I got my naruto headband thing!))
Krimson grunted as he bent back wards, laying flat on the floor, trying to escape the trio of ninja stars. she hoped back up and flung a few more waves of fire at the girl but a different heights, she could not just duck this time. once the last swing was swung another trio of stars flew at her. having no time to duck, she swung side ways, so that two of them flew past her but the third one grazed her cheek. crimson blood flowed down her cheek. her skin around her wound burned from the pain and the heat they were already in. she turned back around and grabbed a kunai, flinging it at the girls head, but she never came here to kill her, so it simply smacked the wall behind her. "And you may never find out Hokori" Krimson said with a sneer

Hokori's eyes darkened grimly, polite mask cracking away in the heat of of her anger. "I'm heartbroken," drawled the Sand Genin, hands flashing through the motions for the Desert Coffin Jutsu. The sand exploded from her first sandbag, arching for Krimson like a giant hound that would tackle the other Kunochi to the ground beneath a shifting bulk of hissing earth. It was so easy to control.

Krimson watched the sand arch up and moved toward her. the sight of the moving sand took her back to her childhood to the first time she saw Gaara. the way the sand wrapped around the kids ankles made hers burn. she shook the image out of her head and leaped back wards, giving her the few seconds she had grow to a few more. the sand still raced toward her. she inhaled deeply and blew out, obviously using her one sand - like attack, Mugensajin Daitopa. the air flowed out of her lungs and picked up in speed. hopefully that would push the sand back and maybe knock Hokori off her feet in the process

Amautuer. Did she really think that a little wind could stop one of her favorite Jutsus? Hokori applied a smidgeon more chakra to the mass of air-borne grains, shifting their course to block the blast of wind, energy binding the grains together in the face of the blast before sending them hurling for her foe, still redy to tackle and restrain. Krimson'd just have to dodge the old fashion way...
(Sorry but this is the one Jutsu she's really, really good at. ;D)

Krimson frowned as the sand blocked the wind. 'Damn it! the only choices left are to dodge it or use all my Chakra in one move...I think I'll dodge it' She thought with a sigh. the sand hurdled toward her. once it was inches in front of her she jumped up, every second she was in the air the arched forward and up toward her. she turned around in the air and dug the scythe into the sand, when she felt the sand start to tighten around it. she pulled it free from the sand and turned back toward Hokori. she leaned forward, moving closer to Hokori, still in the air, almost like she was stuck in it. 'I'll just attack the one controlling the sand' She thought as she arched her scythe behind her and and brang it down with speed

(Good call, my foe. To be honest I never expect to hit any PC with the Coffin/Funereal combo. Sie La Vie!)
Hokori willed the sand to slam straight down onto the platform under the control of her fading Jutsu. She looked up to meet Krimson's gaze before jinking to her left, scythe coming down inches from her body. The Sand Genin turned her dodge into an attack, driving her right elbow for Krimson's chest and arching her left palm upward into the taller girl's chin. Stay inside the reach of that weapon and she should be fine...

Krimson watched as Hokori moved out of the way of her attack. 'good that would of hurt a lot if it hit her' Krimson said as she used her strength to free her Scythe from the volcanic rock. one it shot out of the rock she turned around to see Hokori trying to drive her elbow into Krimson chest. Krimson dodged the first attack but the attack on her chin was a hit. Krimson was knocked off her feet. she got up the second she hit the ground. 'well....that hurt' Krismon thought. with out thinking Krimson swung the scythe at Hokori...yet again...because she was so close to her. she knew that it the blade did not hit her the metal pole of a handle will

Shaft of the weapon knocking her from her feet with a grunt, Hokori frowned, snapping a trio of shuriken up at the other kunochi. The attack covered her retreat, the hand motions for a second Desert Coffin blurring through her fingers.
The grains pooled into a vortext that rose for Krimson's body from all sides, a dozen mystically stable tendrills seeking to bind her in place. Subtle hand motions from Hokori guided the grains in their pursuit, grim focus in her gaze.
