Ino frowned, examining the bouquet. It was a little...extravagant, maybe, but her eye had been trained for flowers, and it loved it. "Trust me, Asuma-sensei, I know what I'm doing." Winking, she pulled out a basket from beneath the counter, arranging the flowers inside of it, eyebrows furrowed in concentration.
Asuma's comment took several moments to register. "Aside from Chou-kun and Shika-kun...? I...gave a few to Sasuke-kun...but he never accepted them." She shrugged casually, eyes darkening for a few moments. "So no...not really..."

"No...I mean...to Shikamaru and Chouji...but who's was more....detailed?" He questioned his student. In an odd way she was currently teaching him. He watched her eyes darken. "If it helps he is missing out not getting pretty flowers from a pretty girl. Besides...I heard he's gay" He joked softly tring to see her eyes brightened up.
He looked at the flowers. "Well...if you are sure. I also think she will like it...." He sighed and turned to look at Ino. "You, my pupil, are the most intresting flower-loving-hopless-romantic person I have ever met." A smile graced his lips.

Ino fiddled with the flowers, almost completed now, but trying to draw out the work for as long as possible. When Asuma was gone, she was alone in this shoppe again, waiting for Daddy to come home, praying not to have to go to the hospital to see him. "Chou-kuns..." She answered finally. Perhaps it was a strange answer, but Ino had always been closer to Chouji than Shikamaru. Chouji did not hate her, despite how cruel she had been, how shallow she was...he simply grinned and bore it, like she wasn't being a total bitch.
And after watching him, horribly-thin on that stretcher, and realizing that she liked him chubby and normal, she had brought him flowers. They were not as elaborate as her usual bouquets, more subdued. But more meaningful. And his smile had made her want to take on the world, and made her so gloriously happy to be alive.
He did that. He was the kindest person she knew, the closest friend she really had, ever since Sakura had broken off their friendship. She felt safe around him. With Shika-kun, she always felt stupid, always got angry, and goddammit, she worried, because he was chuunin, and being sent on suicide missions. He always made her furious and scared, and in contrast to Chou-kun's serenity... Still, there was a balance between the two. Thrill and Contentment. Passion and Security. Ino knew the importance of balance all too well.
Looking up, she laughed lightly and offered a bow. "I'm the only flower-loving-hopeless-romantic person you know, but I'll take the compliment!" Handing him the basket, she stuck out her tongue. "I'm holding you to your promise of no-training. Otherwise, your life will be hell, sensei."
Ino can back that threat. Asuma should know this by now.

"Fine hold me to it." He grinned and looked at the flowers. "Great..." He narrowed his eyes. "I see....when was it? OR why was his more elobrate?" Asuma asked with a bit of a glance about the place.
"Ino...you are going to be alone if I leave huh? You got an open room? As your sensei I can't have a student lonely....or a pupil who has given me a gift or help."
He snickered. "This proved this 'Grumpy mean' sensei of yours does infact have feelings" He scoffed. "But I still don't care if you are tired during training"

Ino blinked as Asuma narrowed his eyes and almost interrogated her... It was almost like Daddy drilling her on how Chou-kun and Shika-kun had behaved during particularly long missions, despite the fact that she had known her two losers since she was in the cradle. She loved Daddy, but he was often...unreasonable. Horribly so.
"After the mission to bring back Sasuke-kun..." She shrugged, still unable to stop using the affectionate suffix. Only, she laced it with venom and disgust. She hated that term. Sasuke-kun. "I don't know...I was just...afraid." Shaking her head, she looked up at Asuma, bright blue eyes. That was the second time one of her team had offered to stay with her.
Ino laughed lightly, rolling her eyes. "We've always got a room open for the idiots of Team Ten...thanks, grumpy-mean-sensei-of-mine."

"Then I will take residense in your humble aboad for sometime" He ran a hand though his hair.
He sat listening like some sort Dr. Phil. He nodded. "As is expected of you to be worried" He shrugged his shoulders loosley. "I hear that poison in your voice...I won't press the matter though." He snickered. "Oh...no spying on me if I do sneak out someplace..."

Ino laughed, rolling her eyes. Only her sensei could shuffle about like he was some lazy-ass hobo and still be cool (repeat those words and die!). "You are such a weirdo," She said, chuckling. It was true. He was a hobo-ninja that liked to use very flowery vocabulary, What a combination.
Glancing to him, she arched a sharp eyebrow, and smirked. "Oh? Sneaking out? Now you've got me interested...the rumour mills are going to love this..."

"Rumor spreader..." He accused hhis pupil. "Bleh spreading rumors about your dear ol' sensei? Unholy! Unjust" He muttered dramatically. "But to brief and to the point...who cooks?" He asked with a yawn. He let out a snort. "Neh,,,We are all wierdos..."

"Shut it, hobo-ninja! I am Yamanaka Ino! I do not spread rumours! I merely provide the material for others, more gossipy colleagues, to do my dirty work! I'm hurt...you thinking that I wouldn't cover my own ass as such...you're the one who taught me to be sneaky! Have you no faith in me?!"
Offering a dramatic sigh, she placed the back of her hand to her forehead, before blinking. "Who cooks? Whoever is better at not burning the house down to a crisp, I guess...or gets conned into it, I guess...it's not really set."
Ino scowled, punching Asuma in the arm. "Hey! I'll have you know that I am anything BUT a weirdo, thank you very much!"

"Hobo-ninja?" He repeated. "Pfffftttt......I have no faith in your rumor spreading league..." He snicked and poked his arm to make sure it wasn't brused. "Uh-huh not a wierdo whatever boots your self-esteem" He snickered

"Yes, hobo ninja! You are scruffy and ornery and sometimes as drunk and/or crazy as the hobo! Therefore, hobo-ninja! Do not question my logic, for it is sound!" Okay, so maybe Ino's a little weird. So what? She's pretty and smarter than most girls. She'll cope. Smirking, her blue eyes sparkled with a challenge. "You'll see..." Rising to crack her back, she began to move towards the kitchen. "Compliments and gifts~" She called over her shoulder, in reference to his 'question' of sorts... Yeah. Ino is odd. We love her thought. ...right?

"I am not drunk all the time. I am usually sober thanks." He retorted with a loud snicker. "I am not all that crazy. Training at six or five is a perfect time." He scoffed. "I'll question your logic as much as I want to" He snorted.
He followed her back to the kitchen. "Gifts and complements?" He blinked. "Eh what for? Who to?" He asked not getting the point.

Ino rolled her eyes, scoffing at his comments. "Yes, but when you're drunk, sensei, you get totally smashed. Lightweight much?" Internally, Ino scowled. Why should she had to know so much about her sensei's drinking habits? Better yet, why should she have had to put up with them? She could count the number of times he'd been smashed in her recent memory on one hand, but those times... Her eye twitched. "Six or five means I have to wake up at four or three." She muttered under her breath, tempted to growl and bitch and threaten him into making practice later. Instead, she remembered what happened last time she did that, and refrained. Just barely though.
"Boosting my self esteem. Gifts and compliments." She deadpanned, hunting through the pantry and fridge for something premade and edible since she's a horrible cook.

(Heh. Here I go.)
Hokori entered Mrs. Uremeshi's house with faint tingle of the bell. The Sand Genin slipped off her sandals silently, shoulders slumping sadly in a rare moment of unguarded expression. A faint sigh escaped her lips, Hokori rising with sandals in hand. More training. Always more training. The disapointment blended with the old anger, all of it melting away as soon as she saw her host these last four and half years. She bowed, "No need for that party. It's just me, and I didn't advance. Didn't expect to. I'm going to train in the alley." Her tone simply stated what was going to happen, no more no less.
Mrs. Urimeshi sighed, as the kunochi passed her enroute to the alley. The older woman had no words for her friend's child. She never really had. It seemed like a waste of time in a way. She would listen, nod, and obey politely, but... It was nothing more than marking time far as she could tell.
Hokori hung 'Gaara' from the tree branch, breathing deeply before beginining her Tekken drills. A flurry of quick, dumb punches and kicks flew at the battered dummy, the object's rebounding motions simulating return strikes that Hokori took or dodged, her emotionless shell cracking a little a bit by bit as, she got deeper into it. A slow dodge knocked her on her ass, prompting a scowl in the girl when she rose to her feet to continue,

Chouji Akimchi traveled on the way to his friends flower shop. The smell of flowers drifting from all corners that surrounded the shop. Almost calming the pudgy boy to a state of utter joy. So relaxing was that scent of variations of the plants that were kept inside.
The pudgy boy yawned slowly oh so slowly making his way to the store. Why hurry? It was another visit to a very close friend, sure, but that did not make him hurry. He was enjoying the day as it was. No need to hurry through life when there was so much to look at and enjoy. Ne. Nara Shikamaru must have rubbed off as well on him. That really wasn't that much of a surprise for it was rare to see Chouji without Ino Yamanaka or his lazy assed best friend.
His eyes lit up as he began to get closer to the store. But as he was just about to clasp his rather large calloused hand on the doorknob a something caught his eye. Reluctantly, he withdrew his hand from the doorknob and gently took a step back on his right foot. Peering his head over the side of the shop but spotted nothing till another second ticked by.
This time he saw sand fly up. Sand? Wait that was odd. The shop wasn't located near a beach or anything that had to do with sand. So why was he seeing it fly out of nowhere into the air. Carefully he stepped to the side and follwed up to the back alley where he swore the sand was coming from.
Chouji blinked and stopped in his footsteps in shock. Sand=Sand Village. Sand Village=the Trio. Chouji shuddered in thought. The three siblings scared the hell out of him. He didn't like Temari toying around with TenTen and Ino. Nor, did he like Kankurou. The thought of a man wearing makeup was just disturbing..unless of course they worked in a Kabuki theater, which the sibling did not. And then there was Gaara. Gaara That name brought several shivers of fear to prickle up and down his spine.
Chouji had been so very intimidated by that tatooed, gourd wearing boy that he would be able to have nightmares from just seeing his hateful gaze. Chouji bit down on his bottom lip and silently urged himself to peek into the alley. No. No Gaara. Instead a girl. A girl who had just landed on her ass. Seeing her do so brought a wince to Chouji's face.
"Uh...Uh...you okay?" The Akimichi questioned as he popped into sight.
