Asuma rubbed his beard with his hand. He shook his head full of unruly slicked black hair. Asuma gave a smirk that was somewhat cocky and he crossed his arms in a relaxed position. He leaned up against the counter. He eyed the many flowers through narrowed eyes. "Nice flowers cha' got here" He spoke gruffly.
"Say I wished to buy a few...do I get them free or do I get a discount?" He asked calmly and turn to look at her with a warm look in his eyes. His fingers played with a stem of a rose casually.
"Always into flowers, you Yamanakas...just like all the Saturobi's loved cigerettes" He gave a chuckle at his joke. "Mind if I break the no smoking rule?"
He quirked an eyebrow upward and shrugged loosley. "Cha' well I'm back from the mission...Nara-kun told me that you ran the shop by yourself while your father ran a mission...so...I decided to drop by...check on my student...that a sin?"

Arranging the flowers with ease, Ino pulled a ribbon out from a shelf beneath the counter, tying it into an elegant bow about the flowers. Giving it to the customer, she accepted the ryo (rather startled at the substansial tip) and wordlessly sorted the money in the register. a soft smile on her face.
Glancing up at Asuma, her eyebrows knitted together, and she offered a scowl. "You should be lucky I don't charge you extra." She grumbled at her scruffy sensei. He deserved it! He always made her wake up at evil hours of the morning, and never seemed to care about her woes! He said six was a good time to start training...which meant Ino had to wake up at four...and when she complained about it, he made them train EARLIER...Ino wondered how much pay would be docked off her next mission if she went berserk and killed the man.
"Pfft, at least our habits make us smell good," Ino stuck out her tongue, ever quick to defend the pride of her family. This was Ino though; argumentative and quick to insult. Rolling her eyes, she waved her hand at him, fighting a grin from showing on her face. After all, Ino has to maintain an image. "Go ahead. I'll just make sure Daddy knows exactly who to hunt down when he smells it in the shoppe."
She winked in jest, and listened to a customers order...dried hyacinth? Hyacinth was popular today... Shuffling in the backroom for a few moments, she exited with several boxes. Setting them on the counter, she began to search through them, multitasking as she continued to speak with Asuma. "I don't know, depends if you have ulterior motives." Ino shot him a sly look. "I'd hate to feel like you were just using me to get flowers for...someone..."
Trailing off, with a significant look in her eyes, she smirked to herself, blue eyes flashing in triumph. The bait had been set...
Ino did so love playing matchmaker.

Asuma clucked his tounge agianst his teeth. "Charge me extra Yamanaka-chan I wake you up earlier to train. Think how much that would be a nightmare." Asuma joked lightly yet having a somewhat serious glare. "You wouldn't do such a thing..."
Asuma scoffed and took out a cigerett pack. "Yeah, well ever consider that I'm buying flowers so I can smell like your family and not for a person?" He sneered and teased Ino. He pulled a thing cig out of the pack and slid it in his mouth. "Use aire freshner..and the scent of smoke wont be smelled."
He put the pack back in his jounin jacket's pocket. "Meh...Kids today...only thinking about getting in each others pants..." He shook his head and let out a dramatic sigh.
He picked out two roses carefully from a jar and brought them under his nose to sniff them. "But suppose...it is for someone..." He casually commented and lazily tossed the roses to her. "I'll take those two. I'll make you a deal...I only pay 3% of how much they cost and I'll let you sleep another thirty minutes before Training starts..deal?"

Ino fixed Asuma with her patented Glare-of-Deathâ„¢, one which is reported to cause severe discomfort and rashes, and is possibly fatal unless one seeks immediate medical attention. Hmping, she flipped her hair over her shoulder, handing the dried hyacinth to the customer. "Fine. I'll just have to make sure you get the full 'How-Ino-is-Feeling-Today' package COMPLETE with menstrual pains and teenage angst." She commented, her tone as cold as ice. Ino was relatively good with keeping such matters to herself...but if she really needed to make her team suffer, she had no qualms about suddenly becoming much more open...
If Ino's father wouldn't have completely destroyed ANBU because of it, Torture and Interrogation might have recruited her into their program.
Laughing lightly, she rolled her eyes at Asuma-sensei, directing a customers attention to a catalog for their questions on corsages. "Please, as if you and your manly ego could stand smelling like flowers." Ino mocked, voice almost sing-song. "Ha! With the cancer sticks you smoke, I'd have to have a thousand air fresheners, and then all the plants would die!"
Not that she really cared if Asuma smoked in here in the first place. It was his life he was throwing away, after all. Shaking her head, she spoke in an overly dramatic voice. "Old men these days...always so desperate that they must misjudge lovely young ladies...tsk tsk."
Ino had returned her attentions momentarily to the customers, and was in the process of showing the poor boy how to put a corsage on a girl. Eyes darting upwards, her hand shot out and caught the flowers, a testament to her quick reflexes. Careful not to prick herself, she set them aside for the moment, and pulled off the corsage, ringing up the customer. Sending him on his way and wishing him luck, she inspected the red roses, and smiled.
"Give me an hour and I'll give them to you for free," She offered, ever the business woman. The rumor mills were going to love this...

Asuma lazily stared back at her unfazed. "Meh...Yamanaka-chan I suggest a glare that this ol' sensei hasn't seen each week or gotten used to." He snorted and tsked at her. He shook his head.
He shifted his cigerette from the left to the right side of his mouth. "Cancer sticks? Yeah well....at least I can die having a good smoke" He shrugged. He snickered. "Meh your right...would want to run your business into corruption with my manly ways" He said as his words dripped with sarcasm.
"Meh...don't tell me youre turning into another emo...just like that pesky Uchiha boy...so overly depressed..." He scoffed more to himself than her. "Yeah...but we all know that once training starts back up...that I will pound that angst outta yah'" He said with a light tone.
His face became serious and he leaned over the counter to her and whispered. "If you really need to talk...I'll listen...I am your sensei after all...I swear I won't spread any rumors"
He pulled back and scowled playfully. He grunted and fought a mental war. His shoulders slouched as he admitted his defeat. "So be it...I'll make it an hour. Gosh...go figure. I get the laziest team"

Ino scowled. Dammit. That glare usually made Shika-kun break (she just had to look at Chou-kun and he would cringe)...she had forgotten how invulnerable Asuma could be at times. She'd have to find a new attack angle...
"It's a lovely way to die, I assure you," Ino drawled, rolling her eyes. "It's not like it's not glorious or befitting of a shinobi or anything..." Scoffing, she went silent when he mentioned Sasuke.
Sasuke-kun... She didn't know if she loved him still. She knew she hated him for what had happened...Chou-kun had nearly died...and Sakura was in pain now...but it was hard not to let him go. She had liked him for so long...had fought so hard for his attentions... Deep down, she knew he hated her. She supposed that deeper still, she truly loathed him for taking away her best friend, for hurting her teammates...
But Ino hated losing with a passion, and in these times, her crush on Sasuke was familiar, something to hold onto against her changing world. Snapping back to reality as Asuma leaned over the counter, the scent of tobacco suddenly swirling around her (she didn't hate it, not really, it gave her comfort, like he was one of those old grandfathers that you could always turn to), Ino's eyes softened momentarily.
"I know, sensei." She said quietly, before smiling as things went back to normal. Sticking her tongue out at him, she quickly tied a red ribbon about each flower, and inspected them once again. Seeing that they passed her examination, she offered them back to Asuma. "We might be lazy, but we're damned good negotiators."
Ino knows her strong points; running away, manipulation, and getting what she wants.

"Not all things I love benefit me. It's my habit after all. Quit rolling your eyes...its...so annoying" He grunted.
A small rare smile graced his facial features. "I know you know...but sometimes its better to be reminded...can't have our special Kounichi down in the dumps or hurt" He replied with his tone of voice was deadly serious.
He pulled out the stub of the cigerette and smashed its lit end into his heavy palm putting it out. "Meh...." He stuffed the cigerette in his jounin jacket pocket along with its ash.
"Yes, well...I believe..you are the negoatiator of the tesam...with your...oh I dunno...I heard from the Female Jounins...that you are the master matchmaker." He snickered.
"Women....so....wierd...or to put in the way Nara-kun would say it....bothersome" He took the flowers and tugged softly at the bow. "Why the bow?"

Ino rolled her eyes again, specifically to bother Asuma-sensei. "I'll stop rolling my eyes if you'd stop giving me a reason to." She grumbled, examining the shoppe to find it all but empty. That was strange...it had been packed full a few moments ago? Had she worked that much? It didn't seem like she had...
Surprised at his smile, Ino fiddled with her bangs, examining the pale hair between her fingers. "Thank you." She said softly, suddenly. She looked up and smiled, one of her few sincere and sunny smiles, every inch of her expression filled with gratitude.
She said nothing as he pocketed the stub of his cigarette, and arched a brow at his comment. Sitting herself on the counter, she swung her legs as she laughed. "Why do you bring up my skills? Have you need of them?"
Tilting her head, she twitched a bit upon hearing the 'bothersome'. "Pfft, we're normal, men are the ones that are weird." Smirking, she hummed tunelessly to herself, staring up at the dried flowers that hung from the ceiling of the shoppe. "No reason~"

Asuma snickered. "Yamanaka-chan....so brave talking to her sensei like that" Asuma sneered with a twitch of the eyebrow. He wasn't truley mad just...friendly agitation.
Asuma smile grew to a large smirk. He bent over the counter to ruffle her hair with his giant palm, much like a father would do with their daughter. "No problem...Ino-chan" He called her first name for the first time in a long time.
"Need of your skills? I brought it up because you said the team was a negoatiating team..I only know one person on the team that plans things and makes the plans or negotiations.....and that would be you" He shook his head. "I'll pass on the skills. I'm a man....a grown man,..taking advice from a student is not needed" He snickered in his usual taunting playfull ways.
"No reason means there is a reason. Yamanaka...I know you better than you think." He snickered. "Tell me why...you aren't plotting anything are you?" He questioned. Ugh. Ibiki's constant questioning of their teams at meetings had obviously rubbed off on him.

Ino smirked, rolling her eyes again. "Ever the true Yamanaka," She quipped, remarking on the families tendency to...not recognize authority so well. (Read as: have a complete and utter disregard for authority when it is not really needed, and sometimes when it is.)
Whining as he ruffled her hair, ("Stooop, you're going to ruin it with your dirty hands, stooop~~~!"), she huffed in annoyance, struggling to hold off a grin. Playing the role of a petulant daughter, she folded her arms, staring deliberately everywhere but at him. "You might be a grown man, but you're a horribly mean OLD man that love to make me suffer! Oh, and you have silly sideburns." She commented, looking back to him with her tongue stuck out.
It was eerie, how good Ino was at acting. Smirking as he began questioning her, she assumed an expression of complete innocence, one which would fool anyone outside of Team Ten (it worked especially well on Daddy). "Otou-san," She batted her eyelashes, reeking of cuteness "Would I ever do such a thing to you?"

Asuma let out an offended gasp. "I do not!" He huffed. Very few things could make Asuma Saturboi defensive. His beard and side burns were a few of those things. "I do not have goofy looking sideburns" He defended himself and scowled. "Well you have...a terrible fashion sense" He scorned.
"Cha'? Well this Ol' man might find it entertaining to annoy you..." He scoffed and smirked smugly at her.
Asuma quirked an eyebrow upward and crossed his arms. A spectical look grazed over him. "Uh-huh...that Otou-san may work on you father, Chouji, and Shikamaru...but you are messing with me...and I don't fall for it nice try though. Now out with it..."

Ino smirked, wiggling her fingers at him. She exuded the Yamanaka attitude then. As masters of manipulating the mind, they often found themselves feeling...not superior, but more enlightened then others, when it came to the art of reading people. Ino employed that particular skill shamelessly now, in the hopes of sowing the seeds of doubt in Asuma-sensei's head. Not that she really cared about his sideburns...Ino just liked knowing she could make him shave them off or something. (Power-trip much, Ino?)
"Terrible fashion sense? And this is coming from the man that thinks orange and purple make a stunning combination..." Ah, yes, The-Incident-About-Which-We-Do-Not-Speak. That's a low blow, Ino.
Pouting as sensei crossed his arms, she breathed a heavy sigh, looking downcast and downtrodden. "Okay...you caught me out." The dramatics began. "I just thought that since you were so totally getting those for Kurenai-sensei, that she might appreciate it if it was more like a gift...and since two flowers don't really make a bouquet, that at least adding a ribbon would make them more...special. I was just looking out for your best interests...if you don't want the ribbon though..."
Guilt trip.

He narrowed his eyes at her. "Harsh Yamanaka...training won'tn be easier for you" He put on the most evil smirk on his that he could muster.
He snickered and quirked and eyebrow at her as she wiggled her fingers at him. He gave off a heavy snort. "Very entertaining." He said sarcastically.
He blinked. "Kurenai chan?" He shook his head. "Why would you think..." It was usless. "Oh quit pouting and what not. "Find get me the most romantic flowers for me...and uh...put them in a boquet for me...I might just put Training off...for....two days...nod too long...one day"

Ino scowled at his evil smirk, folding her arms and huffing in indignation. How dare he! She had given him free flowers, and now here he was, being a jerk! She just remembered the reason why she wanted to destroy him. Eyes blazing, she prepared to completely annihilate him as customary as custom a Yamanaka such as herself, when he mentioned Kurenai-sensei.
Oh. Kurenai...chan. He was so obvious. Ino smirked, mind returning to matchmaker mode, and she giggled as he told her to stop pouting. Immediately cheering, she moved through the shop. Azaleas and Morning Glories, Maples and Larkspurs, Red Carnations and Pansies, Quinces, Ivy, ang Galax...rounding it out with Dogwood and Daylilies. Her minds eye was spelling out the message, arranging the flowers so they complimented each other, told of love and hope and faithfulness and devotion...
She sighed a dreamy sigh to herself, the sigh of the hopeless romantic, and she moved to the counter, pulling out her scissors and beginning to cut off the bottoms, bright green wick showing in the stems, her soft hands trimming them to size.
"A day and a half," Ino commented lightly.

He watched her and grunted. "A day..." He stood firm but then took a long look at the flowers. "Fine..." He gave in once more. "Don't you think this is overdoing it?" He asked with the voice of doubt.
He watched silently in surprise. Yes, thins girl knew everything about flowers. "Hmm...ever given flowers to a guy Ino?" He asked in question. He did somewhat wondered since she was always around Chouji and Shikamaru.
